I had not been aware about the Web beacons Yahoo had sigged on us… LOL Kind of freaked me out when I heard about this in one of my groups. I went to the URL given, followed the following directions, and opted out of web beacons. Cookies are bad enough, but to follow you around, even when you aren’t logged into Yahoo really bugs me. Very sneaky in my opinion. So read this and go check it out for yourselves.

If you belong to ANY Yahoo Group - be aware that Yahoo is now using “Web Beacons” to track the Internet navigation of every Yahoo user. It’s similar to cookies, but allows Yahoo to record every website And every group you visit -ANYWHERE- on the Internet, even when you’re Not connected to Yahoo. (more…)
